Can Codecademy's platform be used by children?

Under COPPA law, kids under 13 years of age need their parents' permission to create an account and start coding.

You can set up an account for your child by going to our Teacher Resources page, clicking on the "Classroom Tracking" section, and signing up there.  This account will not have access to the help forum, but will be able to access all of our free material.

We recommend that kids start with our HTML/CSS course, then go on to Make A Website, as both courses are highly visual and engaging.
